Reassessed all fourteen active test ratings and specified their scope

Article updatedStandard
Effective 15 October 2026Published 17 October 2026

Reviewed all fourteen active tests against the published criteria. GlycanAge, TallyAge and Edifice iAge moved from Promising to Emerging. Elysium Index and InsideTracker InnerAge moved from Promising to Insufficient. AgeRate, epiAge and Viome moved from Emerging to Insufficient. TruAge, NOVOS Age and the Clock Foundation GrimAge kit remained Promising with explicit endpoints: Pace of Aging for TruAge and NOVOS Age, and mortality-related risk for the GrimAge result. The other three Emerging ratings were confirmed. Related catalog descriptions, four evidence-summary pages and a methodology example were aligned with the approved review.

Previously seeded labels needed a documented assessment of each product's own output. Evidence for a scientific method does not automatically validate every retail report or possible use.

Compare reflects the reviewed product-level ratings. A Promising label does not cover every result a report includes. Insufficient means the reviewed evidence did not support a stronger rating, not that a product was proven ineffective. The changes were approved and released on 15 October. The subsequent price, tag and rating-display follow-up has its own announcement.
